Thank you for downloading ExtractIt! for System 2.0! This is a major release to one of our best-selling programs, and we hope you will find it as exciting as we do. It is perfectly alright not to read through the rather large manual, as it primarily provides auxillary information and footnotes. Furthermore, a mini-manual is implemented in ExtractIt! for System itself, allowing you to double-click and get started working right away.
Let’s get this part over with first. ExtractIt! for System does cost money. The good news is that such a useful program is only a mere $8. It is required that you pay the $8 if you continue to use this program after trying it out. The $8 can be sent through the mail as cash (if you want to risk it) or check (paid to the order of “Tim Morgan”) to the address on the opening screen and in the manual.
Once you have paid, you will receive notification of updates and the like, along with special tech support. Finally, we are considering developing a Pro version of this software which only registered users will receive. This Pro version will be more interactive, allowing the user to perform diagnostics-related tasks on his/her computer, as well as maintenance routines.
If you ever notice an innacuracy, please report it to Lightning Bolt Software. You must supply the section name, the result it returned, and what the result should have been (or we will not be able to fix the problem). We will supply an update to all users as soon as we can.
This software may be legally distributed/mentioned via/on CD-ROM’s, magazines, Internet file archives, etc., as long as prior consent from the author, Tim Morgan <MorganBolt@aol.com>, is granted (does not apply to word-of-mouth distribution). All advertising suggestions must be carefully detailed out to and approved by Mr. Morgan before any such campaign can go underway. Any distribution via a commercial media must remind readers that this software has a required fee of $8 and is shareware.
